Julia Jäger stars as Eva, a volunteer working for a crisis helpline. Author Sathyan Ramesh wrote the screenplay NIGHT (NACHT) specifically for Julia Jäger: over the course of a single night, Eva tries to support a stranger (Jan-Gregor Kremp) who does not want to die alone. What begins as an attempt to save a stranger gradually develops into a moving, warm, entertaining, and unsentimental love story between two people who never meet.

NIGHRT (NACHT) marks the third collaboration between Florian Froschmayer and Sathyan Ramesh. Their award-winning television films SWEET SEPTEMBER (SÜSSER SEPTEMBER) (2015) and SLEEPLESS IN PORTUGAL (SCHLAFLOS IN PORTUGAL) (2021) were commissioned productions for Degeto.

NACHT is an independently produced feature film by Florian Froschmayer, realized with an experienced team of long-time collaborators. Cinematography is by Rudi Schröder, production design by Jost Brand Hübner, costume design by Manuela Nierzwicki, and makeup by Kim Epes. The original score is composed by Rainer Oleak, with original songs by Steven Eli. Sound design is by Peter Staubli (Skyfall, The Bourne Ultimatum). Additional cast members include Oliver Mommsen, Lea Freund, Carina Wiese, Natascha Weintzendorf, Leonardo Can, as well as Victoria Sturm and Tilo Schmitz (voices).
